Watched AMW tonight. I can’t believe there are still no real answers for your family. I hope the show brings in some tips. Keeping your family in my prayers.

I saw this story on America’s most wanted. I’m very interested to hear what happened to this family! The fact the dogs were outside with no food, eggs still sitting out on the counter, open paint can on the floor. It just seems like something very important happened to make them suddenly get up and run out without time to plan. They had to have assumed they would be returning very soon…

  3. Maricela

I also saw AMW and was very shocked to hear that they cannot be found and that they might have crossed the boarder without passports for their children. Just wanted to let their family know that I have been praying for God to keep them safe and for a safe return. They have been in my heart and thoughts since I saw their story on AMW.

My Prayers go out to your family. I hope you get some leads from AMW.

I have been following your story since early March and simply cannot believe that an entire family can go missing without a single trace!
I visit your website weekly, always hopeful that your beloved family members have miraculously shown up alive and well. My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this unimaginably difficult time.

Oh Gosh, I read this story a while back, and assumed they were found. I am so sorry, this is just devestating.

They look like kind hearted people. Keep up the fight and I will send your link to all my facebook friends. I do have friends that travel down there, so you never know right.

I pray and send hope for your family. I wish I could do something. I put myself in your shoes for a second and almost had a heart attack thinking about if something happened to my brother and his family.

Take care, I will check back often.

Mike can you tell us the days the ads were listed in the Mexican newspapers? Also, are anymore planned? I would like to contribute if you are planning more ads. Thanks and praying for your family.

I posted this under the Baja Times post also.

ive watched the amw show, and honestly to me everything points to them leaving abruptly. amw left alot of details out- such as were they having financial problems? how was their business? how could they afford that home on the business they own? they found the family car outside the mexican border. searches for how to get a passport to mexico were found on summer’s computer-all details that were left out the show.as far as the dogs having no food, they probably did leave food out for the dogs and theyve eaten it up already, hello.I just dont see this case as a missing persons case, more as a family who doesnt want to be found.

    Susan, Mike, Erin and girls….

My heart goes out to you all. Please know that I am praying for you.
I remember how happy everyone was at Joey and Summers wedding a few years ago.
Can’t believe this is happening. I send you all Lots of Love and Big Huggs.

My whole family follows your website often.

I am continuing to pray for this family. I did not get to see the airing of AMW when it was on as we were camping. I sure hope they get some leads to find out what happened. You can never give up as miracles happen all the time. Lets hope and pray one happens for this family.

Has there been any solid leads from the AMW airing? Alot of us have your family in our thoughts and prayers everyday. Once you have a direction to search in, I hope you know there are many who will help. Little G’s bday is coming up. My wish for him is that he will be able to come home and see his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Imagine the celebration!

[ Thank You for your kind words. Unfortunately, there have been no solid leads from AMW.]

not sure of the beliefs of your family but anything/everything should be an option, so i wondered if any psychic has been consulted or any plans to? not all are fake, some even work with police on certain cases, i think i heard of before.

  13. Tanya

Dear Susan, Mike, Blanche and family,

I have followed this story from the beginning and want you to know that I will continue to follow and pray for your family everyday until your loved ones are found. I believe there are many others like me out here…we are all anxiously awaiting their return. I live many miles away, however, if you need help with anything online (website, Facebook, etc.) I would be happy to help you out…just email me at the address I gave here with ‘Help for McStay’s) in the subject line.
    Thoughts and prayers…Tanya

Baja Times and Gringo gazette are NOT mexican newspapers, nobody knows them in Baja except Americans living in ocean-front houses. You should have spanish speaking people helping you to put ads in Mexican TV but, make no mistake, when I said spanish speaking people i didn’t mean americans that “think” that they speak spanish, find a reputable local, like a young mexican attorney to help you. Good luck and all my prayers to your family.

I saw your story on “Disappeared” just the other night. We used to live in San Diego, we went to Mexico alot then, and I know the location where their car was found…I am just beside myself with wonder and confusion. I cannot get the thoughts of that beautiful family out of my head. It has been the last thing on my mind at night before bed and I find myself thinking about them all throughout my day. I can’t imagine what happened or why? I go over the details they reported and have read and looked for information online constantly. Did anyone ever find out the connection with the toys they found in the trunk of their car??? And has anyone checked further into the story from the diner in Mexico that a waiter said he had recognized the one little boy? (besides the fingerprints on the map) My heart breaks for your family. My husband is from Mexico, we go every year to visit his family that still lives there. My father-in-law and my brother-in-law work in the Mexican government. In fact, my brother-in-law works in the presidents office. If there is anything that you feel we may be able to contribute or help in your search, please DO NOT HESITATE to contact us at the email address above. I just cannot get them out of my thoughts..God bless you and your family and I will continue to follow this story everyday..
    Sincerely and Respectfully

I watched the Disappeared show about the McStay family tonight. My opinion is that the McStays found something advertised on Craigslist or a similar form of classified ad – something for their house. I think they took off, thinking they would be home within a few hours, and crossed the border believing they would be right back.

If they had been kidnapped out of their house I think there would have been some sort of sign of a struggle. I think they had some form of ID for themselves and the kids on them when they left. They mentioned in the show that the couple had been looking around for various items to use in the remodel of their new home. I don’t think they crossed the border thinking they would bring the item back with them that night. I think they were going down there to take look at something they saw advertised online or in a newspaper. They had large items, the toys, taking up most of the space in the back of the Isuzu – so they were either looking at an item that would have been small enough to squeeze in beside the toys or else they were going to take a gander and return with an empty car.

The hubby might have said, “Hon – lets go down there and take a peek and if you like it I’ll come back in a day or two and pick it up with one of my guy friends.” My husband and I own our own business and the time of night would fit the late hour a self-employed man would come home from work and say lets go quickly and take a look. The kids can have the popcorn and you can finish that dish you are making when we get back. They stuck the dogs in the back yard and left, planning to be back late that night.

The other people on the message boards are saying wonderful things to you about prayers and wishes and I’m sorry I’m speaking plain truth to the family – I don’t mean to hurt your raw feelings about this whole situation, so please forgive what I’m saying here. I feel the McStay parents thought they could steal into Mexico this one time and quickly scoot back across the border and this is the worst time to have made that decision. You know by the fact that they haven’t returned that something terrible has happened to them. Now its just a matter of trying to figure out what and maybe finding the kids. Eventually you guys need to hire a private firm and send someone quite brave down into the border area to try and get a lead on what happened to them. I would start by scouring over every detail of what the wife was looking for in the way of remodeling products for the house and comparing that to ads online and in the regional classifieds. The husband might have seen something using his smart phone or online at work.

I’m sure you’ve all thought of these details yourselves many times. Mainly I wanted to say that self-employed husbands get home late at night – they don’t come home at 5:30 like the guy who works at the post office. That time frame is exactly the time my husband shows up at our house almost every night after closing our store – 7:45 to 8:00pm. Your family needs to have one person in it that is diligent and smart and willing to spend hour upon hour researching to try and figure out what the McStays were looking for and if there is a way to get copies of what was online at Craigslist for sale during that week.

I watched your story on Disapeared. The hole thing does not make sence. Reading the peoples comments really made me stop and think. You have to wonder why they would fill their car up with new toys and then take off with out them. If I tried to take my kids away from all those toys, they would of screamed their little eyes out. And where did they go for those few days before they crossed the border? I do hope the police have looked on their computer for Craig list ads and the like. I am feeling that nothing good happened with them. And I hope I am totally wrong. And I pray they are having a ball playing on the beaches of Mexico. I will keep watching for the news to see them come back to teir family with hundreds of stoies to tell….

i just watched disapeared about an hour ago, nobody knows what happened everybody has thier own ideas i just hope they are all ok and are together and not being harmed ,this is just horiable i will pray for them and the family for a safe return

  19. Maria

While watching the show, I had this insight that they are not in Mexico.
Someone use their car to get there.
I believe, investigators should look on possible contractors, or contractors that were supposed to work in their house.

I will continue to pray for all.
    Sincerely

I saw this on E. Did it ever say why Interpol was involved with the mother (Summer) ? Or when somebody said the dad had checked them into a hotel using the youngest son’s first and middle name, did they ever chek the handwriting to see if it matched Mr. McStay’s ?

I was watching E Investigates on December 27 2011 and was shocked to see the disappearence of Joey and his family, I knew Joey in San Clemente and he was a Great guy. I’m sorry to hear of this, but I do beleive he is alive after watching the whole story. My heart goes out to the family who is left behind, but I do beleive you will see them again.

  22. Elena

It is hard to believe that they planned this. They left in a hurry, that’s clear. But why? Only reason could be a family emergency…yet there is no evidence of that, other possibility is that they were forced to leave in a hury. However, why would someone target a family of four? and demand no ransom, use no credit cards, bank cards, etc?…Did they really have so much money that someone targetted them for a ransom and then something went wrong?…does not seem so…and then…Would they really do this deliberately just to go on and leave every one in the dark?…It’s just incomprehensible. I ask myself these questions over and over…just can’t imagine what you, their family are going through. I really hope and pray that there eventually will be an answer…my prayers are with you.

  23. elena

just one more thing…i was just reading the other comments left by equally concerned people…and one drew my attention. Have they considered contacting a psychic. I’ve seen many programs where psychics play a major role in solving crimes, and helping law enforcement, even those “synical” that do not belive…and these people have made believers of us all…. Not all of them are fakes. I truly believe that there are a few really good ones out there that can help. In fact a very well known one is from San Diego…has she been contacted?

  24. Deborah

I just saw this on cable t.v. I can not begin to imagine the pain this family feels. My prayers are with you all.

  25. monique

I have seen the story many times on different cable channels about the mcstay family disappearing. I cannot understand how an entire family can disappear off the face of the earth. The family should look into hiring the psychic Sylvia brown. I believe they ran into foul play in Mexico. My prayers go out to the family & friends.

  26. Annette

My prays are with the Mcstays. I check the internet on a weekly basis for updates from the first time I saw this story on TV. My hopes are that for whatever reason it may have been, Joseph took his family away to protect them from something. It all seems so strange.

There is still the fact that “someone” parked the vehicle days after they were last heard of. One single person.

I do agree that perhaps a psychic can help with this search.
