The “STORY” sounds very fishy. I only read it on here. I didnt see the special. I do believe somebody did remove them from the house. But from the 4th to the 15th and nobody noticed they were missing, is definately weird. We will probably never find out what happened to these people. This story said the 2 kids they think were the kids that went across the border, if the kids were viewed that well how come the other 2 people werent. With technology now days at the border maybe somebody messed with this part of the footage, and that is why they can somewhat identify the children and not the parents. Being that the woman had a mexican name, 2 totally different names, there is a connection in mexico that has to do with her. Maybe thats how they got across the border. How do you park your car and walk across the border without knowing someone or somebody waiting for you on the other side. Seems a bit strange. No evidence, no bodies, nobody knowing nothing is all to bizarre. Especially with all our advancements in scene investigation. No clues?? Then it was planned that way. Nobody just dissapears without some kinds of evidence or clues………..Definately meticulously planned!!!

Sounds very reasonable. I know their family misses them; but I too feel they are alive and at least relatively physically well. Probably being protected from a Mexican drug cartel.

I think joey inadvertently found some or a large quantity of illegal drugs in one of the fountains he was buying, selling ,etc while conducting his fountain business.

Rebel and Rob, I’ve been following this story for awhile now as well. I recently watched it again on Disappeared, and I have to say, your theory about Witness Protection is the ONLY one that makes sense, all things considered. Every detail you sited lines right up. I pray this is the case, that the family is safe, and I wish all of the McStays only the best.

First, I hope this family finds out what happened, and can find closure.
I do not believe they just up and left. I have followed the case via media and this site.
I believe they had all intentions of returning home within the hour or so.
I think they had arranged to meet someone , possibly related to the renovation or the fountain business. I suspect foul play and do not believe the family is seen crossing into Mexico on the 8th of February 2010. A search near the old bonsall bridge and seven mile trail should be repeated. Dan Kavanaugh transferred over 9500$ via paypal and e-checks to himself days after (starting on the 8th). Why would he do this if he anticipated the family would turn up? I believe the questions have answers that are not as complex as we are assuming.

I see the episode of this family and I tell all my family of this. My boyfriend and I have been talking about the episode since we saw, we trying to find an answer, all we can say is that we think are good, God bless from above,
They have always supported us and know that they are alive and remember them with love, above the McStay!

I won’t answer any question as to how I know…when your put in the Victim/Witness program run by the Federal Marshal Dept you leave everything behind. No pictures, clothes, wedding rings, family heirlooms, pets, etc. Bank accounts, Visa, everything tied to you is left behind. Nothing that can identify you goes into hiding. The feds put you in a place unknown to your family that’s left behind. If you can be identified by a birth mark as the little one has, it is removed. Its a new life your starting under the protection of the feds. Jobs are arranged 180 f what you did in your prior life. Housing and a monthly allowance is provided as long as you stay in the program. All the information I have read and seen leads to one person….Summer…was she involved in Colombia with a drug kingpin then fall out of love and decided to take off or did she know to much was threatened and beat feet the hell out of there. If the answer is yes to either one ….the bastard will not stop looking….she hurt his reputation or heart…maybe while out shopping she sees one of his losers, tells Joey who contacts DEA. They suddenly move..Summer is giving DEA everything she knows and with that information takes the drug lord down. Summer doesn’t have to testify if DEA finds the motherload…but just in case the McStay family is handed over to US Marshal and put in the program. If Joey and Summer love their sons as family has stated, you bet your ass they went underground…..Reb

I like the sound of the suggestions that the family are possibly under the protection of federal marshalls. I hope it,s true. But obviously unless they “come out” we will never no. The mystery continues.

Has anyone thought about the last place both of their cell-phones hit towers? Bonsall has a river and reserve where people go hiking, fishing, etc. I did not know the McStay family, but they look like “outdoorsy types”. Is it possible that the McStay’s went to some beautiful part of the river to go exploring and while they were walking about, some bad/desperate people car-jacked them or possibly killed them to take their car to the border and escape into Mexico? Just a random act of violence? or maybe the family was playing by the river and they witnessed somebody doing something terrible? Maybe they were silenced? Has anyone dragged the river? I saw a story on the news of another family that disappeared for a year or so, 3 adorable kids as well as the parents. They finally found the car submerged in a river with all 5 bodies still inside. Maybe they drowned playing in the river and somebody just happened to steal their car? I don’t know, but maybe it is not some big murder mystery. Maybe there is another scenario that nobody is thinking about.

I think that the investigation really needs to look in the Bonsall area for their cell-phones (with a metal detector?)…maybe they were hiking and they got lost or hurt and/or killed by nature. I remember a story where a family went on a hike and came across family of rattlesnakes both parents were struck and died before they could get back to their car….the toddler wondered around with the older sibling trying to find their way back but eventually died of the elements….the older sibling survived (just barely) because she was found by a search party. Not sure if any of you remember that….but something tragic and natural could have happened to the McStay family. The car might have been simply stolen. I mean, why would anyone walk across the border, when they had a car, and could have driven across? Unless the driver did not own the car and was worried about having the license and registration checked by border patrol? Just a thought.

I have another theory. After looking into this story quite a bit….and much research. Look into Dan Kavanaugh. The “Business Partner” of Joseph that was not actually a co-owner of the company. Summer was half owner of the company that Joseph owned. Dan made many statements that he thought Joseph had a lot of money in cash. Dan also sold Joseph’s company a few months after the McStay’s went missing. He might have manipulated Summer into an affair and then killed Joseph…then helped Summer get her and the kids out of the country claiming that the authorities would not believe that she had nothing to do with the murder of her husband. Even though I don’t really think that she had anything to do with the death of her husband. I think that Dan manipulated her into having an affair…then he killed Joseph after Joseph refused to loan him a substantial amount of money and maybe even suspects that Dan is interested in his wife Summer. Dan then takes Joseph’s truck back to the McStay’s home and tells Summer that he had an altercation with her husband and he needs to get her and her kids out of the country to protect her from being blamed for the crime (when the police find out that Dan was sleeping with Summer)….and getting Summer and the kids out of the country would also make it look like something happened to the whole family and not implicate either Summer nor Dan….nor have anyone look into their relationship. Dan then drives with summer and the kids down to the border and they all 4 walk across the border together (didn’t drive over so that the border patrol would not be eye witnesses of Dan being with Summer and the Kids). To Summer, Dan looks like he is protecting Summer and the kids by helping her escape a crime that she could get blamed for even though she was not involved, by Dan using his contacts in Mexico that he had through Joseph’s business, to get Summer and kids out of the country. Dan then tells Summer that he will have to go back to America and continue on business as usual so that he can sell the company and not arouse suspicion in him by being nowhere to be found. That is also why they traveled across the border at night.
AND why Michael (Joseph’s Brother) think that the family of 4 could be Summer and the kids, but NOT his brother. Dan seemed to sell the company and switch careers mighty quickly. He then becomes a DJ that hardly ever works (5 gigs that didn’t pay much in 3 years) ….How do you think he is surviving. HE KEPT THE MONEY FROM THE SALE OF JOSEPH’S COMPANY!! Summer is WAY too paranoid to come back to America…She thinks that she will go to prison (for a crime she did not commit) and lose her children, the smartest thing for her to do is to stay missing with her husband. Dan might have even sent her money from the sale of the business to help her disappear. Dan is supposedly quite the scumbag ladies-man that manipulates women constantly, takes advantage of them, tells them all that he is in-love with them, all for his own personal gain. Let’s just shed a little light on this Dan Kavanaugh, shall we? I know that you are reading this. Please look into Dan Kavanaugh a little closer. I have a brother also. I hardly ever see him, but if anyone ever showed me a video of a shadowy figure of my brother walking, I could tell with 100% accuracy if it was him or not. The way your sibling moves is imprinted in your head for the rest of your life. You have said many many times that you do not believe that is your brother in that video, walking with Summer and the kids over the border into Mexico, that you have watched over 1,000 times (we both know that you are 100% accurate even from the very first time you saw it)….that is NOT your brother….but that could be Summer and the boys. Let’s just say that it IS Summer and the boys with somebody else, it does not mean Summer is guilty of murdering your brother. Summer loved your brother. You know that. You know that even if she did have an affair with this master manipulator (Dan), there may be many reasons why maybe she wanted to feel that excitement of a new love or feel desired or sexy…but IT DOES NOT MEAN that she wanted Joseph dead or had ANYTHING to do with his death. You knew her…You know that she would have done anything to protect her boys and keep them with her. You know that she would never have crossed that border on foot with 2 young boys unless she is very desperate and filled of promises that she and her boys will be safe once on the other side of that border. Do yourself a favor….look into the phone records of Dan. Talk to the girlfriend that hates him for his cheating ways on that site (LoLoNoNo?)….Heck, talk to the commenters as well that supposedly know him. Get Facebook to turn over everything ever messaged in his account (even if deleted Facebook still has records of it.)…..Dan wanted what your brother had. He is your killer.

Dear Summer,
I know that you are reading this as well. Dan made you feel sexy again, was really exciting when he told you that he was so in love with you and that he would take care of you….you made a huge mistake by getting involved with him. I know that you know that now. It got the father of your children killed. You are so ashamed and frightened. You have changed your identity before and now you have had to change it again…..but this time, it was for a real reason. Dan is the only person who knows where you are. You know that he can get very angry and (obviously) very violent. He has probably threatened you that he will kill your children if you are ever found again….so with his help and threats that you are at least an accessory to murder, you have disappeared, scared, and unable to turn to anybody, even your own mother. (I imagine your jaw dropping right about now). Summer, here it the truth about life, you really can not go on running forever for a crime that you did not commit. You need to send some kind of note to Michael that I am correct in my theory. Michael will understand….so will the world. You are innocent of the death of your husband. Please honor him by coming clean. Your family and Michael’s family need closure.

Been thinking about this case for some time. Angela last post leaves me thinking about the way the family left the house. I am now convinced that Joey was not at home when Summer and the boys left in the Trooper. That explains how they could have left the home at gunpoint or under some other duress and why Joey was still able to make a cell call an hour later. At some later point Joey was killed. This reasoning at least explains one aspect of the case.

My friends of over fifty gave me my nickname Rebel at age 11. Stand up for the weak yada yada. My life involved law enforcement for 14 years both State and Federal That ended when I was hurt. Then I got my Paralegal degree and worked for a criminal law attorney. Of course although I am retired I can not speak of any case I was involved in. I can however give you my take on what I’ve read, watched and what my gut tells me. I posted before the only thing that makes sense of this story is the family is under the protection of the Federal Marshals. When your going underground, you leave your family, friends and past behind you. Joey can’t send a postcard to Joey saying we’re alive stop looking. The people they are in hiding from will do whatever it takes to get the location of the family. The Marshals can’t call Joey and say their safe let it go. They will never admit to any other law enforcement department that the family is underground because they also can’t be trusted. Bad cops do exist and money talks bullshit walks. Neither Summer, Joey will take the chance of contacting Mike or anyone else. You can find people not in hiding. I found my 64 year old sister and 62 year old brother after a forty + year search. All I had was their names and birthday. My sister is here in America, my brother in France. I never give up. On the McStay case I did…I know their underground, every clue in the house, the phony pictures walking into TJ, leaving bank accounts, the dog, etc proves they are safe. Maybe…someday if the person looking for them gets a bullet in the head…they might come home… my gut says no the person has friends….Rebel

“Rebel”, your theory is plausible but it is still speculation. You have a “gut feeling ” Just like all of us that have commented on this site. I hope you are right, because if what you say you know about the witness protection is true then that does mean they are all alive.

But I find it hard to believe that to ease the stress and pain of not knowing ; surely the powers to be in the witness protection program could notify Michael and at least let him know the family is alive. They(the Federal Marshals) could advise and warn Michael that their loved ones are alright and he must keep this info totally secret within the immediate family until the time comes that their missing loved ones are no longer in danger. Then and only then, will Michael and others in both families involved hear from them.

There have been others that have been Mafia informants that were able to come out of “hiding”. Supposedly the “Mafia” never gives up getting their revenge; yet these informants have re-surfaced and are still alive with the exception of those that died from natural causes.

This case is still a big mystery. And for the time being it remains just that. No more and no less than that.

Am going to tell a story….I was asleep in bed when I was five….work up in a cabin in a big boat…leaving Amsterdam to come to America. Why? No clue until I was eight. I delivered milk with papa on weekends, holidays, summer. Papa was a member of the Amsterdam Freedom Fighters from 1939-1940. Yes, he hid Jewish families, children anyone Hitler wanted dead. He did more, killed Nazis, revenge, etc. After the war he joined the Israeli Massod hunting those that committed Crimes Against Humanity. Those in hiding wanted him dead. He continued on to marry have us children. In 1959 the Dutch and Massod smuggled us out of Holland. Papa never saw his family again. I posted that on his deathbed he begged me to find family still alive. I did and found cousins, aunt etc. His only sister still alive said when we disappeared they knew we were safe out of Holland safe somewhere in the world. I grew up without aunts, uncles, cousins, family. Papa said I did what was right for my family and someday they will understand. After finding everyone and putting them in his situation they all said the same thing….he was alive and we would of did the same thing…never under estimate the love of family. Ron you said can’t the Marshal tell the family…..no, because the people their hiding from are assholes who will do whatever it takes to find the mark…including harming other family members who they think has information. I know their safe….we were and the nazis were more brutal then a drug dealing five foot idiot with “little man syndrome”. Reb

This family did not need money…so money motives are not tops on the list.

Summer’s “aliases” are in fact a bit odd, but she did not shy away from video camera’s nor did anyone seem to be alarmed of her aliases. in Family videos she seems lucid, normal and this family appears to be normal.

There did not seem to be any previous indication of leaving…work on the house with contractors, normal phone activity and shopping the day they disappeared. No bags packed, new toys in the car.

The condition of the house gives the appearance that they intended to leave for a short period of time, perhaps going to the store and to return. (The food left out, Dogs).

It seems to me that this family left their house, in their vehicle of their own accord to go to the store or out somewhere and simply met with foul play. The father certainly does not seem to be the type to not have contact with his family…to cause pain to his mother…and did he not have an older son with another woman? He does not seem to be the type to just up and leave without word.

The only finger prints found in the car where theirs…no evidence of foul play at the home or in the vehicle. The fact that the car seats and the McStays meds were found in the car indicate they intended to not be gone long….

It seems to me that someone intercepted this family, either robbing them, forcing them across the border for illegal purposes or with a story that prompted them to go across to help with something.

There is no way a family of four leaves all their belongings, their pets, their medicine, does not access their accounts and does not contact family for three years unless they met with foul play.

There is a lot of desert in the area…they are not far from the ocean…

There were no indicators the fmaily was exposed to or had knowledge of anything that would result in their needed witness protection…and if that was the case, their extended fmaily members would be in jeopardy as well.

If someone bad was looking for them, or put them in danger, and the feds felt the need for witness protection those looking would resource family and friends to find them.

It almost makes me wonder if McStay had an attack without his meds and Summer asked the wrong person for help

I wish I could be more positive…but a family of four simply dies not just disappear…the kids would need school, he would need meds, they would need money.

It appears to be foul play of a sort I’m afriad.

The Witness protection program will have a family leave under unusual circumstances and meet them in a place that no one would recognize nor think to look at. BUT those kids know who they are and they will be VERY well guarded by their parents as to not speak of their “former” life. That birthmark-if removed-could leave a scar in which THAT is what people should look for. One puzzling thing… they list the wife as being Latin yet she needed to order Rosetta to learn to “speak” Spanish??? The witness protection program would NOT let them do something so “sloppy” and have that information be known.. I have NO doubt that HUSBAND had to be involved with something illegal or found out something about his wife’s past (hence so many name changes) and now their family suffers.. keep hope alive McStay family.. but know that things aren’t always what they seem to be on the surface..

I believe the KISS (Keep it simple) applies in this case. It seems like a difficult case at first, but I think the answer is easier than you might think. The family left, they didn’t leave provisions for the dogs, they didn’t take anything to help them on some long journey. So I have some questions.
Did they ever determine what clothing was missing and what the family was wearing? Because, if hiking boots were gone, swimwear, beach towels, etc that is a clue. I know that every summer, my children each have 2 pairs of swimming trunks. The reason for this is because if 1 pair is drying or being washed, they have another pair. So if things could be counted, and you could assess what clothing is missing, you could figure out what they were wearing.
If they were missing swim clothes, where did they normally go swimming? If they went hiking, where did they normally go hiking?
Here are the scenarios, based on keeping it simple, are most plausible:
The family goes hiking, and someone steals their car, if it is a mostly desserted out of the way place, they could have showed up in the parking lot just to realize the car is gone and they have no way home. And if the cell phones don’t have any bars, the best thing would be to stay in the parking lot and wait for someone to show up, or at the very least walk on the side of the road until they get bars to use the cell phones. But maybe being experienced hikers, they take it as some sort of a challenge, or have some better idea of how to get back faster. If they lost their way, and couldn’t find their way out, eventually they would succumb to the elements.
If they went to a secluded area for swimming, and someone stole the car from there, as soon as night comes, hypothermia could set in especially if they had a habit of leaving clothing changes, towels, etc, in the car.
Trying to walk out of whatever area, and a bad decision to not stay on the road, and instead take some shortcut through the woods, would explain the last cell phone pings by the way, would make it very plausible for the bodies to have been deep in the woods. The bad luck here would be someone stealing the car, and therefore putting the police and potential rescuers in the wrong area. I think the best bet to figure out what really happened, is to offer a deal. To put it all over the news, that if the person or persons who stole this car come forward, and tell you where they stole the car from, that they will NOT get prosecuted in any way at all, to offer them a reward for coming forward, and to BEG them to come forward and to tell police where they found the vehicle, where they took it from, etc. If they saw anyone or if the vehicle had been left, and to find out if they took anything from the car, and if they threw anything out from the car. Towels, clothing changes, etc.
Because if we knew where the car was taken from, searchers could begin looking for bodies, evidence, etc. I hate to say your best bet is to find bodies, but I am 100% certain laying bodies to rest would be healing for this family, and never knowing is much worse. I hope this helps.

As long as i am alive, I will always wonder about this family. It has touched my heart so.
There are lots of tragedies in this world but one without closure seems torturous.
I pray for the rest of the family who are left to wonder.
Lets just find solace in that if they are dead that they are in the arms of God.
And that if they are alive, that they are safe and happy.

What I am curious about (well, one of many things with this case) is the mentions of the Witness protection programme. The organization is for *witnesses*, correct? Or can it be used for anyone that feels that they are in extreme danger? So one of the family members would have had to be going to trial as a witness?

I learned about this case upon watching one of the Investigative Discovery’s Disappeared episodes. It has haunted me ever since. Until this is solved, I must ask the people that run this website to try to keep this site fresh with at least a blog. No matter how uninforming the content might be, at least it’s something. I also noticed someone else’s comment asking about their dogs… I’m curious about them too. Just need more info of anything available. In closing, my heart goes out to their extended families. Hopefully the McStay family will be found alive sometime soon and answers will put this all to rest once and for all.

Every time I come to a conclusion, I think of something else. I cannot imagine that the family knows where they are, how could they keep the tale up and suck away their lives in the process? I have thought about the parents being killed and the kids sold, Summer killing J and going on with another man, the days between the border crossing- they “figured things out” b4 they left the Trooper and took off elsewhere….all those things..and more. I don’t think they ever went to Mexico and the web search was put there and truck left near crossing so ppl would think MEXICO. They are somewhere else and I think they left ON THEIR OWN…no show or anyone else will say they are in witness protction no matter what. I think they will be found alive and well. The feds probably thought the case would go away. Summer’s name changes were explained, she was born Lisa, always was called Summer, last names were her birth name and than step fathers. Alot of ppl are moody, unhappy and neasty. There would have been some hint by here inlaws if they thought she was capable. They would not hold that back. Maybe something happened with a real estate deal and not the fountain business and they went into hiding. No matter what happened, someone left that Trooper near the border b/c they want you to THINK Mexico…but it’s not.

If you went on holiay and saw the family on a train or in a swimming baths, zoo etc.. And have read these posts re. Witness protection. Would you risk their lives and post there whereabouts? my sincere love and best wishes to both families. Personaly I think they’re safe and well. God bless.

Hi, I’ve been watching dissapeared on discovery channel as well as been searching the net about the dissapearence of the mcstay family, its really sad that there are no answers to so many questions. Something that caught my attention, the family have been missing from febuary of 2010 however in april 2011 joseph mcstay had posted pics on his facebook, just something to look into, if he posted pics one year after their dissapearence then they are somewere, they jus need to be found.

Ive been following this case since the beginning, hoping that they are found…Although i live in Asia, I am from San Diego and I follow the news there and this case obviously intrigues many people…Just out of curiosity, doesnt the immigration checkpoint into Mexico have a computer that tracks each and every person that enters and exits to and from, country to country?? I travel abroad frequently and the computer at the immigration checkpoint is used to take a snapshot of my passport, as well records information into the database. As well, MANY countries have a camera right their at the checkpoint which takes closer face shots…It seems strange that from the beginning when there was doubts as to who those people are on the video, they wouldnt have immediately checked the immigration database to see if their names had been entered via their passport info…this info has never been discussed in the news or any part of the articles that are released to the public, but would seem like an important avenue to try to eliminate the thought that they entered Mexico….

I watched this story over a year ago, and from time to time I think about the McStay family and wonder if anything has been resolved. My curiosity got the best of me so I googled “updates on McStay family”. It is unfortunate that its still a question as to thier wearabouts. My heart goes out to the whole family, and most of all the kids. I pray that they are safe and well fed. This story has touched me so much in a way that it reminds me that family is my everything and to never ever take anything for granted. We only have a few short years on this planet, live it to the fullest. I wish and pray that all is okay and the McStays will resurface alive and well.

So sorry, McStay family, that you are dealing with this nightmare. I had heard about the family members who disappeared and just saw a documentary on TV. I’m wondering if any psychics have ever been consulted? There are some good psychics that police departments have consulted, law enforcement had no other options, and the psychics came through and helped solve crimes and provide important details.
If this would be a Witness Protection situation, is it typical for a car to be abandoned in a parking lot and money left in a bank account instead of accounts and cards being closed? About the SUV, I’m surprised there were no cameras in that parking lot or from area stores that would have recorded the car and who got out of it and where they went and if they got into another vehicle? Maybe the McStays were in that Suv, and planned to come back to it, not knowing it would be towed?

I saw the family’s documentary on TV with Laura Ling on E! many times.
Although I cannot say anything for certain, I do not believe Summer’s change in names nor concealment of her age should allow anyone to talk about her in a disrespectful way. When a family goes missing, past history of each and every one of them will come out. I know that if someone were to dig anyone else’s family there would be things that raise an eyebrow but it does not mean they are doing anything they should not be.

I do believe that if they are in witness protection program which is very plausible, it concerns me for many reasons that there is a rather big investigation out for them. If the police are somehow able to get information on their whereabouts and it is vividly posted up on the internet, would that not tip off information to the people they may be running from? I do not know how witness protection works. I do not know if authorities would let such an investigation run for this long if they knew the family were in protective custody. Especially people searching for a family that must be protected.

This is a sad situation to say the least and I hope that they are found safely soon.

Why is there not more information on summer?? Why she changed names and ages? If you truly wanted help from the public wouldn’t you list all that information and look directly into her past and background on all family members. Lie detectors everything! If there was nothing to his then the family and friends should agree to a polygraph test. What was the last conversation about with his business partner that was last dialed from his phone? Also it said Joseph met with a business partner at a fast food restaurant , does California not have any video footage in their restaurants. Was joseph the one who actually drove the trooper home that night? Why aren’t these questions on any website. Why isn’t there a made out timeline of events within the past months of them missing? Shouldn’t the family be doing more to find information?

It is no mystery… they knew what they were doing. We will never know what happened because we are not supposed to know. Thats how it is. I will not follow this story anymore. I hope the McStays have a great Life!!!

Feelings/Jealousy/Insecurites: I feel this has something to do with jealousy. Jealousy can destroy lives and even ones own human worth. This beautiful person had insecurities and this may of lead her to want so many changes. The sad part is it hurt the entire family. Paranoid is destructive. It makes everyones surrounding painful and hard to deal with. At some point the person may want to change everything and take everyone away from all their loved ones to rid what she believes is the culprit. In the end, it doesn’t help. Only makes things much worse. But when the paranoid/destructive person realizes this they believe to much time has passed and it is to late to come back and make everything right. No matter what their loved ones post or say. They feel time is of the essence and they won’t truly be forgiven and their mistakes will always be reminded to them especially from the people they love the most. Hopefully, in the very end they will become relentless and give in and return home to make a better fresh start with the people who have held their torch for them while they went astray.

I took myself off this site…..at the recommendation from a very good friend. Read everyone of my past posts “WITH A CLEAR OPEN MIND”. The McStay family is in FWP…..and the only way the family left behind with broken hearts will finally know the truth is:
1. The couple seperate and Joey contacts his family
2. If there is no longer a reason for them to stay underground
This will be my last post….if in the future I’m proved wrong, I’ll donate a sum of money to a Missing Children Org. Rebel

Nis, I agree with you!!!! Why isn’t there more information about who the person was that Joseph met with the day before? Nothing much has been said about who that person was, etc! That is VERY strange.

I am happy that the FBI has taken over – sorry that wasn’t done in the beginning as maybe that could have saved everyone a lot of time and aggravation – I’m hoping the FBI will be able to ID the couple with the kids in the video that night as they are taking the lead because of their ability to have more resources and access to investigations in other countries – seems like they may be able to make more headway about who that couple with the kids really were and any people before or after them who walked in that night

wondering as well why we haven’t heard from the Arandas about the FBI taking over the investigation – do they approve or disapprove – seems a bit conspicuous their absence from the release of the FBI taking over the investigation

still praying that the family is found safe, alive, and doing well and that the family looking for them will get the closure they deserve – as well as Joseph, Summer, and the kids from whatever happened

thinking that the FBI would have a solid lead for this to happen as they have been assisting from the beginning and never taken the lead before now
