Leads from AMW & Newspapers in Baja

After the America’s Most Wanted aired there were around 20 leads or so that the Detectives and FBI were quick to follow up on. Nothing substantial ever really panned out. This seems to be the norm on our family’s case for some reason.

My mom, Susan Blake, has again posted revised Missing Persons Posters in various Baja Newspapers again this month hoping for someone to contact us through the website or phones. We have had a few leads come out of it.

For everyone emailing and contacting us through the website, we want you to know that we greatly appreciate your love, prayers, and support. We, like you, wish that there was some news to liven our spirits, or a confirmed sighting to bring hope. There has simply been nothing that has been confirmed where Law Enforcement has contacted us and shown video, or pictures, etc showing us that my brother and his family are ok.

My friend who has been to Mexico three times already trying to support our family in the search, contacts me once a week or so just to stay in touch. He himself has been following up on some of his own leads trying to rule things out.

So, we push on.

Upon initial reading of a case like this, it’s easy to feel the family’s pain and then move on. But your story has been on my mind and I check this website for occasional updates. Thank you.

Also… it’s easy to dismiss the ripple effect this has caused on family members. How are all of you holding up? Seriously. I think it’s important for people to hear details in how things like this affect those left behind.

If indeed the McStay family voluntarily left…maybe details of the residual effects would change their minds.

My thoughts are with you and them.

[ LISA, I THINK YOU HAVE A VERY GOOD POINT. I WILL FOLLOW UP WITH ALL FAMILY MEMBERS AND CUT & PASTE A NEW BLOG SHORTLY WITH EACH POINT OF VIEW. MIKE ]

I have been following this story as close as I can and when I logged on to the NC Times, was sad to hear that you have moved things out of the home. My heart hurts for you and your family. I wish nothing but the best outcome for all people involved and I will never forget their faces. God give this family comfort and courage!

I have been following this story since the beginning. I cannot even imagine what you must be going through. I hope and pray for some positive news soon. I know this sounds like a very desparate suggestion but perhaps you should consider working with a psychic. One that helps police in missing persons matters. One with a good reputation. Mabey you have already done so or others have suggested this already. Sending prayers your way. -Tracy from Canada

Just saw the show DISAPPEARED … I have to say, the not knowing must be hard to take … Can’t imagine what the family is going through … The birthmark on the baby’s forehead, I believe, will one day break the case … Who leaves without money? A car? There is something wrong with this picture … The family will be in my prayers …

Hello McStay family. I saw your Disappeared show and I am mystified and strangely drawn to this case. I taped and have watched the episode 4 times and the two things that stand out to me are the toys bought from Ross and the fact that the painter never showed up to do his job. I found it interesting that they bought a mini fridge and sink. Those aren’t traditionally boy’s toys. Also that the toys and other items were carefully covered by sheets. Has anyone looked into the contractors hired to do renovations, or considered a home invasion? This case is heart-breaking and I am eagerly hoping for good news. I pray that the McStay family is safe, wherever they are.

I tried posting a note but somehow it didn’t go through…yet…I apologize if
this query posts twice. When I saw the show the other night I saw condensation on the hood of the Isuzu Trooper which the police had photographed when they moved it. I wonder if that shot was a stock photo that the TV show had on hand or if it was the actual vehicle. I understood that the police moved it after four days …if that is so …and that picture really is the family’s vehicle…why is there condensation on the hood? At least it looks like condensation…I may well be wrong…Did anyone else think it was? This is a lovely family and certainly hope the rest of the family finds them soon.

My goodness, I seen this on the news when it happens and totally forgot about it, sorry! I think a lot of people did though that being said wow E did a awesome job bringing it back to everyone’s attention in a major way.

I’m no detective but something about mrs ling standing on the bridge where the last time mr. Mcstay’s cell phone hit resonated with me, have you ever considered getting your own search party together and searching under the bridge and around the whole area for clues phones ect.. I think the brother said that area has never been searched, that blows me away! Also blows me away it seems the police where so quick to dismiss foul play in anyway and assume there ALL living happy in Mexico. “nobody leaves the country with 100k in there bank account come on sdpd! Sorry just my opinion

My thoughts and prayers are with you guys good luck and god bless

I saw your family’s special on E! Investigates and was incredibly intrigued– I am surprised that this missing persons case isn’t significantly more wellknown. I was surprised to see that the video footage of the family, possibly the McStays, crossing the border to Mexico did not produce its own set of leads. If it truly was them, then they would have had to have produced some kind of paperwork. I was really left wondering if the names of people who passed through the border right after the time of that video footage were really checked out. I’m sure this is something the police have already looked into and moved on though. Hopefully with the two year anniversary of this beautiful family’s dissapperance, some stories will start shaking loose and people will come forward. Something happened. And someone somewhere knows something– maybe they don’t even think its an important piece of information but something is out there that hasn’t been discovered yet. Don’t loose hope. The truth is always present-keep chipping away at it; I still believe wholeheartedly that an entire family of four cannot go missing without a trace in America. Keep working.

I sincerely hope and pray that you find answers to give you all closure. But keep in mind, it’s my opinion and various others that all clues point to the options that they are either in a better place than this world or somewhere they have chosen to be of their own accord. I am so sorry for all of your suffering.
